BusinessHR: “It has been reported in “The Times” that Germany is considering legislation that would prevent employers from sending emails to workers during their free time and holidays.
Apparently, some German employers have already taken action along these lines:
- employees at Daimler may choose to have all of their new emails deleted while they are away
- Deutsche Telekom does not send emails to staff in the evenings, at weekends and during holidays
- Volkswagen’s servers do not send emails to employees in the evenings”.
